Email addresses

We recommend members do not make their email address visible on the Forum. This is an option in configuring your profile. If you set your email address to be not shown (ie private) it is only visible to Forum administrators. The Forum software uses your email to advise of replies to your own posts and to let you know when you have received a Private Message.

By keeping your email address private it will not be accessible to internet email collection software that scans places like forums to gather email addresses as targets for spam.

You can use Private Messaging within the Forums to keep in touch with other members without having to disclose your actual email address.
