Can I keep Bluebells dormant?

Postby hoddo » Tue Apr 16, 2013 1:51 pm

Hello, I have a nice patch of bluebells under a chinese elm, but there are a couple of bare patches. I have bought some more bulbs and was wondering if I can keep them dormant till the ones around the tree come up so I can then plant them in the bare patches? I know I should have marked the places that needed planting last year when they were up, and I will do it this year.

You can transplant bulbs when they are growing. Plant your replacement bluebells in pots, then you can transplant them into the gaps when they appear.
