Petunias to bloom for Xmas

I would like to know when is the best time to plant Petunias in the ground to have them blooming for xmas.

please advise :-?

They're in the shops now, so I'd get them in asap. You should get blooms for Christmas, it's 3 months away, and they bloom for a long time.
Don't forget to dead head the spent ones to get more blooms.
