Mainaufeuer before the heat

Postby Luzy » Fri Dec 30, 2005 12:48 pm

Our hot days are making most things wilt and scorch. So far, the ground cover Mainaufeuer has coped. This is its first year (bought bare rooted) and I'm hoping that it will prove how tough roses can be - along with the heat, it also has to cope with heavy clay, a leaning camellia and the blast from the air conditioning unit (which is off-set by a hastily-put-up bamboo fence). This is the second lot of flowers so I'm looking forward to what it can do when it grows up!

It looks very pretty against the green foliage (Y) Roses don't mind clay at all Luzy, so that shouldn't bother it.
