Acacia cognata recommendations

Postby dave111 » Mon Oct 24, 2011 4:38 pm

I am wanting to purchase some acacia cognata. I am planning to plant them partially under the eaves, near a wall and in a north facing position (so they would be getting a fair amount of heat but not a whole heap of water). Was looking for a cultivar that reached a height of about 1.2 meters with a spread of approximately 1 m.

Can anyone suggest which cultivar would be the best? There appears to be a wide discrepancy on heights/spreads depending upon the source (i.e. Bonds has the “River cascade” as growing 1.5 m tall whereas elsewhere (such as on Gardenexpress) it is referred to as only growing to 75 cms)).
