Does anyone know the name of this tree?

Hello all,

Attached is a picture of a tree that is causing chaos with our sewage pipes. I have to learn the name of the tree to apply to get it removed. It is located in Western Sydney. I am only assuming that it is native, I really don't know.
(Sorry, the pictures appear to be on their sides. It turns out that I am not really computer literate!)

Many thanks,
Mick (Y)

Silky Oak (Grevillea robusta), perhaps?

Agree. Terrible trees for backyards.

If you have a wood turning group around your way they might cut the tree for you as the wood is good to turn

Yes definitely Grevillea robusta AKA silky oak. It's not the same silky oak used in furniture making, but still halfway decent wood for turning as Tam says.

They can randomly drop limbs, so that's probably not in the best of spots, and I am guessing does a good job of keeping your gutters full?

Thanks very much for your help. You're spot on with your comment about the leaves in our gutters, it keeps us very busy!
Thanks again
