Mole crickets

Postby Lizthefiz » Fri Mar 15, 2013 8:15 am

I am after some information about mole crickets that are taking over our garden - I haven't noticed any damage to plants even though they seem to live under every pot and even in some orchid pots. I thought they were sandgropers at first and the deafening noise at dusk was frogs and now after a bit of research I find that we have only lots of very noisy
mole crickets.

Hmm dunno liz. It couldn't hurt introducing a few more frogs and/or bob tails to munch on them. You may want to also try planting some bird attracting plants to combat your little problem. Or you could buy some chickens to roam around and eat them. I wouldn't personally go down the road of using any sort of chemical to kill them, especially if they're not doing any damage.
