Bicarb soda - any chemists here?

Postby Geoff Clifton » Tue Oct 16, 2018 1:25 pm

Many MYO plant sprays call for bicarb of soda but I've found that it will not dissolve in cold water and just goes to the bottom of the spray bottle.
However if I put bicarb soda into a glass and pour on some boiling water it immediately becomes a cloudy solution perfect for spraying.
My question is 'does the boiling water change the chemical composition of the bicarb soda and is it still as good for use as a garden spray'?
Cheers, Geoff.
