The extension to my candle holder garden is coming along quite well... Definitely not much maintenance here!!! And I'm trying a few 'rock gardens' as well. At the moment, they're huddled around my one and only standard in the whole garden - a self-seeded Rosemary. I think that it's more than 12 months old now...

Wow Luzy, they all look so healthy and happy. Your candleholder garden looks a picture..congratualtions.One question ...what happens as the succulents grow? will they fall out if they dangle over the edge?

Well, kitkat, I guess that I'm really stunting their growth as there's very little in the way of dirt that stays in the holders. The two tall ones have been going for quite some time now - it's got to be more than 12 months and they haven't really grown, nor looked back, if you know what I mean.

The small holder and the rocks have been planted up for three months now - one of those succulents is definitely growing, although one fell out (I blame the mynahs) but dangled over the side hanging on by its roots.

I guess I'll have to wait and see. :?
