How late can i plant?

Postby Forum_mod » Wed Mar 05, 2003 5:00 pm

I have just rec\'d my latest bulb express cat. it is early June and I thought it was too late to plant most of these bulbs, I live in the Dandenong Ranges in Victoria. If I purchase now will I still have flowering bulbs this season?

Christine,
The Winter catalogue you should have just received is full mainly of summer flowering bulbs and perennials.
Winter through to early spring is the right time to plant these items such as Liliums, Callas, Gladioli, Peony Rose, some Iris etc.
You may be tinking of Daffodils and Tulips etc when you think its too late.
These get sold throughout the Autumn.
