planting in Adelaide

Postby Forum_mod » Fri Mar 14, 2003 1:41 pm

Hi, I really enjoy the garden forum and just thought I would share some things that I have learned about growing bulbs in Adelaide. I have found that I get a much better result if I plant the bigger bulbs [tulips, hyacinth and daffodils] up to double the recomended depth, I think this protects them from the heat. Also I find better results if I plant later, last year I planted tulips in late July and had spectacular results.
