Australian Natives

Postby Guest » Wed Mar 05, 2003 3:16 pm

If you live anywhere on the western side of Melbourne (Victoria) and have clay soils and don't know what to plant in it,well Australian Natives is the go.They love clay soils, most of them are drought tolerant (require min.water), bird attracted, require very little pruning, and there are a good range of natives to chose from. Other plants suitable for clay soils are-roses (all types), cottage plants (most of them) fruit trees and some large speciemen trees like your oak trees or english elms.
