Yes, I know they are almost regarded as a weed in some areas, but not here. Anyway they are pretty. The Big fish? Part of a whirlygig I made to amuse the grandchildren.

Lovely photo, abwal - I can't wait to see ours in flower down our long driveway! There's almost 200 of them and they are ALL in bud this year, so it will be a stunning sight coming down the 40 metre driveway to the gate! Will post a photo when they bloom! :)

How lovely Abwal! Yes they are a weed here in NSW, but like TheE said, if you dead-head them and don't let the seeds disperse into the bushland, they'll reward you with glorious blooms forever!

Clever idea, abwal - the fish and the sea of blue! You sure the whirlygig was to amuse the grandkids, and not the grand dad?

Pam, there is not a whole lot amusing about a first effort to make a whirlygig. Everything has to be just-so or it won't work. At least I will know what to do - and not do - next time. For a while there, the poor fisherman kept getting thrown out of the boat into the mouth of the shark.

  Oh dear!

My father in law went through a whirly-gig stage a few years back. I don't think there was a single pole or star picket that was safe from being crowned with a whirly-gig. He's always liked to fiddle and make things, but doesn't get much time for it these days.

The is an old dump of a house not far from, should be bulldozed, and they had old fans nailed to the fence, should stop and take a pic, look shocking

Another just up around the corner had stuffed toys hanging out of her trees

The Estate, Hey! Whoa! I have only one and have no intention of propagating, though I might start collecting gnomes. Aren't they just so special. You know " Gnome Sweet Gnome". "Gnome On The Range". "Gnome Is where The Heart Is". "Gnome Among The Trees". Etc., etc.

That's alright, abwal, it will propagate itself in no time!

I guess you could always add to your list, gnomeman's land.
