Firstly apologies for the delay in announcing the winners - the judges were exhausted by the record number of entries and have been a little distracted finalising the next catalogue - a 64 page bumper edition (remember to keep an eye out for past competition photos in the catalogue when it comes out in mid Jan)!

The winners (after much spirited debate) of the Spring Garden Photo Competition are:

1st prize - $200 Garden Express voucher - Comeilotei for "Yellow pig face":

2nd prize - $60 Garden Express voucher - midgin for "Veilchenblau rose with Crabapple and Bruggmansia":

Congratulations to Comeilotei and midgin and everyone else who entered - the entries highlighted the diverse range of gardens amongst memebers in the various parts of Australia.

I'll also take this opportunity to wish all members a very happy Xmas and New Year. I hope you all get some time to spend enjoying the garden even though many gardens will be feeling the effects of limited or no water.

Thank you all again for your entries and we wish you well for the next competitions - judging will probably be an even greater challenge than this one!

Sounds like a recipe for Christmas dinner! Well done on a terrific shot, Midgin. I'm happy you got a bit of a treat for Christmas too. Goodness knows you're overdue for it!

As for Ian and the other judges, they have excelled themselves as usual, and have earned a break after judging this one.

Don't suggest stress leave to them TheE - they might get ideas of no more comps instead. :(
