My Bush Size in 2nd season is over a a metre in height
Multiple budded stems
Bloom colour pale pink fading to off white
Bloom size 10cm diameter
Blooms are tight, open to cup (as shown), then to full quartered, then flat to slight reflex and stay that way for ages. Because the petals are sooo tight it all just hangs together so much better then the looser petaled varieties.

Fragrance sweet but not strong.

Does brown on the edges under rain or humidity.

I bought it because I have a daughter called Claire!!! (also another daughter called Jessica, thus the other rose purchase)

We've got that one - it is beautiful. Had to get it - our eldest's name is Clare Rose.

That's why we ended up with a Sophy's rose, too. Wish these growers would spell my kids' names right!

My Clare rose is so different...much paler

wonder if different soils, fertilisers, etc make any difference to colour in some light roses?

Hi ashke
That looks more like my Glamis Castle, especially the loose cupped bud.

We moved a few roses some time back - when we did we had done pH tests etc and balanced the soil prior to the move.

We found when the roses flowered again they were back to the 'original' colours and healthier to boot.

definitely a Claire Rose..bought froma reputable rose nursery so they shouldn't have had their labels mixed up

funny thing though...I do recall it being a bit more pinker than this season's...maybe I will do that pH test and see what happens

Roses do that from time to time. At one stage my Zepheryne Drouhin bloomed in a much paler pink than what it should be, but soon corrected itself. I have no explanation for this.
