Very hard to get shot of my little hedge as it is a rather small area. So this is about the best I can do.

Midg I can see the purple "tie" on what looks like a palm in the purple pot....not sure what you have used though!! :shock:

Patricia is correct.... a purple ribbon is tied around my lemon grass/ fountain grass plants, as they tend to flop over the walkway.

How is that for unorthodox? :lol:

I don't know much about box, Midgin, but would the dense shade that appears to be there affect its rate of growth?

Pam, I was trying to calculate earlier today... I think that hedge has been there 7 or so years. :shock:

I have been VERY patient... :wink:

No Pam, it gets sun up until 2 pm or so. Because it is a raised bed maybe I should water/feed it more often. I do think I should have placed the plants a bit closer :?:

Never mind it shall grow eventually.
I have a similar hedge which is older and it is taller, albeit not much. :wink:

Midg I have that same hedge on my driveway...the section that gets morning sun is approx twice as big as the section that is in the shade....do you feed it??

You are right.. but the one I have is I think Dwarf Japanese box. I am having trouble finding a good website with info. I still have the tag, hence the name .. Buxus microphylla 'microphylla'. Very confusing name I think that means small, small. / or micro, micro :?:

My Japanese Box have grown bigger than yours (I believe the name for them is buxus japonica) and they seem to be getting very yellow/pale leaves.. Is yours suffering from that?

Hi Danny, yes mine is a different type... my leaves haven't yellowed... but I seem to recollect reading somewhere that some varieties do yellow up a bit. Try and find some info on the net...if you are lucky :roll:

... I have fount very little.
I think Patricia has the same variety that you have going by the title of her post.

Midgin, pics of your garden are just so attractive, your garden's so well-kept with lotsa interesting "knick-knacks" (as TheE puts it)....wished I could "explore" it someday!
