Roses

Postby dennella » Fri Feb 14, 2014 9:53 am

I ahve quite a few roses in pots and they don't really seem to be doing very well. I have good drainage, good soil for roses and use fertilisers and sprays for the roses. Can you advise me if they would be better off in the garden itself. I have other roses in garden beds and apart from black spots all seem to be doing good. I would appreciate some good advice on this matter.

Do you prune them properly? Checked the pH? Do they get enough water? Is the potting mix hydrophobic? Are they cheap roses? Cheaper roses are usually on crap root stock, which will get nematodes.
