Whats eating my roses

Postby keydefender » Thu Dec 10, 2015 3:08 pm

Hi all,

I was wondering if someone could see the below pictures and suggest what is eating my new shoots on seduction rose bushes.
I have 6 that all have the same issue and it seemed to happen in 1 night so I think it could either be a bird or other animal.
I could not see any other insects or slug/snails present.

could be possums or even rabbits if you have any that is we have just had a war with rabbits at our place and we ended up putting a bird net fence around the roses all 26 of them they are now doing ok and blooming. I see you have some black spot as well but looking at your pics it looks like they have been gnawed at by an animal not an insect. Hope you sort it out as roses are a beautiful plant.
