need an apple/grape press - any ideas where?

Postby kitkat » Thu Feb 17, 2011 8:40 pm

I need some sages advice here.
I want to buy an apple or grape press to make perry and cider when the fruit comes in.
Does anyone know where I can source one in Australia?
I checked online home brewing places with no luck.

OK I have bid on two of them so we will see what happens- one for apples and pears and one for grapes. If I win one or both my son may have to pick them up for me - dear boy!! LOL

No luck on Ebay.Gosh a lot of people must want them. All went for 150 Up and I didn't want to spend too much to have ot sit there most of the year. Oh well back to the plastic bin fermentation style of ciderI always used in the past.it's very easy , just apples in a bin of water until it ferments then add sugar draw off, strain and bottle - it keeps for years but probably not "proper" LOL :D
