potato "baskets" recipe

Postby Joanna » Fri Dec 16, 2011 12:46 pm

Has anyone made potato baskets for savouries? I found a recipe online but was not completely happy with the results. There was also a recipe for frying them which probably would give a crisper result but I would prefer to bake them. Any suggestions on a suitable type of potato? I used golden delight and had to squeeze out a lot of excess moisture. I could try adding a little flour perhaps.

I take an easier option. Roll a crustless slice of bread out thinly and push it into a muffin tray. Give it a spray of oil and bake till crisp.

Yes I often do the bread cases but saw a pic of the potato ones and wanted to try something different.
