Bug ID please

Can someone identify this bug please? It is appearing on my tomato plants but doesn't appear to be doing obvious damage. Is it friend or foe?ImageImage

I get those in my garden but can't remember what they are called. They are very cute, and don't seem to do much damage. Leave them along unless they get to very high numbers.

So those are immature stages of the stinkbug, they look quite different when young. They probably aren't such a problem for me because of the cold winters here. I still think they look cute.
