Azalea search

Hi all,
We have been trying to find a replacement azalea for one that was killed by a careless driver it was a rare one so we would be happy if some one out there can point us in the right direction the azalea was one with normal foliage (green not burgundy )
but the flower was a very dark red almost black (red wine like ) appreciate any help ta

It sounds a lovely colour, J. I hope someone can enlighten you to its name...I shall be interested to know what it is. I guess you don't have a photo...as a matter of curiosity was it as dark red or similar colour to my pelargonium, shown here?

Hi midgin,
Yes that is a very close colour but alas we did not get a pic of the azalea unfortunately ,we did not think to do that at the time.
