Hi!
I've recently moved and inherited an overgrown and neglected Camellia Japonica with an unusual trunk. It appears to have been knocked over at some point and has developed a root system from it's trunk. The original main trunk appears to be under the house.
I have pruned it by 1/3.
I am now wondering where to add the cow manure and mulch? And where to water it?
I don't want to damage or rot the existing horizontal trunk/root.
Thanks in advance

It probably has a fairly extensive root system, so any water and food you put down, it will be able to access anyway. I would just treat it as though the upright stem that you have is the main plant. It has survived by its own devices for quite some time, I would say
