legnth of time for login.

Postby pgressent » Fri Jul 09, 2010 6:23 pm

hi all,

is there some way of altering/legthening the time one remains logged in.
just a tad annoying when you post a long reply after forgetting to check on another tab if youre still logged in.
just lost another long reply. boohoohoo.

hope you can help me.

Hi pgressant,

I've not really had that logging out problem before? I know there is a box you can select when you log in that asks if you want to be automatically logged in every time you visit the site...maybe ticking that would fix it? Could it be a cookie thing?

I feel bad because it was while you were answering all my questions that you were being stuffed around  ...thanks again!

No idea PG.
I don't have a problem staying logged in. I can log in early in the morning and not come back till some time in the afternoon, and my connection and log-in status are still the same.

GF mentioned the automatic log-in, I have that box ticked, so all I do is bring up my link and I'm automatically on the forum.

thanks guys.

the work around isnt too hard.
ill try ticking the box, see if that does the trick.

i went on a BBC site ages ago and in the logon, or somewhere, there was a choice between login lengths.
i just though i was having trouble finding that page.

Getafix, dont feel bad, im button dyslexic,
the condition seems to have worsened since i sold my soul to santa.
now im perpetually jovial and i get very busy from september through to new years,
and its always fun when i walk into a bra.

If ticking the button doesnt work. You might need to check the cookies settings of your web browser. Some have settings to clear them after each session etc.
