Avoid leggy seedlings with a home-made reflector

If you start seedlings indoors in a sunny window but you find they get a bit "leggy" you can easily increase the amount of sun your seedlings get by making a sunbathing reflector. Just take a medium-sized cardboard box and cut off one of the sides and all of the flaps from the top. Fold the sides open slightly and line the inside with aluminum foil, shiny-side out. Tape it together and voila, you've made one of those old-fashioned sunbathing reflectors. Now place your seedlings between the reflector and a sunny window.

Here's a close-up of my seedlings enjoying their reflector.
