Can I Cut Pumpkin Tendrils

Postby abrogard » Wed Nov 14, 2012 8:49 am

I have a Queensland Blue pumpkin vine off to a good start but it is throwing a tendril out in the wrong direction.

Must I guide it back the other way or can I safely simply cut that tendril off? ( Is 'tendril' the right word? )

I think you could do either.

Have you ever eaten a young pumpkin vine tip? If not, try it, you'd be surprised how nice they are.

It's perfectly fine to cut it off. You will do no harm.

Thank you. I'll try eating it. Raw?

I eat them raw but I think they'd be nice in a stir fry as well.
