Should This Passion Be Quenched?

Postby abrogard » Wed Nov 14, 2012 8:52 am

Prior to last winter I put in a grafted passionfruit vine hoping for covered of a fence.

It didn't work. The vine has thrown out growth three times since I've had it. Every time from beneath the graft.

The last time - early spring this year - it actually seemed to be shooting from below soil level.

The nice looking green head of the thing just stays there looking nice and healthy, full of promise, but delivering nothing.

When this happens to a grafted vine should one scrap it and start again with a new one?

Yes, get rid of it, they're just a nuisance.
