NATIVE PASSION FRUIT (Passiflora herbertiana) heaps of fruit

Postby gardenlen » Sun Feb 02, 2014 8:58 am

g'day all.

yes NATIVE PASSION FRUIT (Passiflora herbertiana), maybe i haven't got the name quiet right - http://www.tradewindsfruit.com/content/water-lemon.htm this is waht our fruit looks like (Passiflora laurifolia a.k.a. Bell Apple, Yellow Granadilla, Golden Apple)

we have 3 vines one larger one, and from these vines that are very drought hardy, only 17mm in january.

for those who want to ad a plant that takes very little root to their food garden this is it, i have eaten my fill of the fruit so far, just gave about 4 mug fulls to neighbour. also bug free.

our fruits are yellow bit bigger than gooseberry fruit, and pulp looks like normal passion fruit pulp

take care

len
With peace and brightest of blessings,

len
