tumeric corms won't grow?

Postby gardenlen » Sun Nov 15, 2015 5:18 am

g'day fellow gardeners,

went to maryborough markets app' 8 weeks ago bought tumeric corms from home grower, looked viable a fresh, planted them now over 6 weeks later no sign of growing, last night rain flooded onto those pots washing out mix so can see fresh looking corms with no sprouts, would have expeted shoots by now?

could it be that though they are home growers they reated corms i some way so they won't shoot, or how can i make them shoot never had prob's in the past with ginger/gal-n-gal or other

tia

Len, some of our gingers have still not shot. I would just leave them and hope for the best. If they still look viable, I feel sure they will be fine.
