Can anyone help with my dragonfruit plant?

Postby te3 » Tue Dec 01, 2015 2:36 pm

Hi all,

I have a few problems with my dragonfruit plant.
I have a section where it looks like roots growing out.
There is something that is scale like.
There are these dot marks.
I don't know if the bug is a problem.

I would love any help as its the first dragonfruit plant i have ever had.
Please see the photos.

A snail or something has taken a bit of a chew at it at some time. The roots are perfectly normal, nothing to worry about.

Those dots - is this the only affected leaf? If so, assuming it's an end leaf I'd be cutting it off and bagging and binning it if it were mine, or at least cutting below the affected section with clean sharp cutters, then bagging and binning. It looks viral to me.
