Lemon tree problems

Postby andrewjxn » Sun Dec 18, 2016 4:25 pm

Hi all,

I have a "Lots of Lemons" variety lemon tree which I have planted into a large pot using 50% Citrus potting mix and 50% normal potting mix, it's about 4 weeks old and already has some small fruit on it (came that way from the nursery). When I planted it I added some Dynamic Lifter citrus food to the potting mix and have since given it a water with some epsom salts to increase the magnesium content of the soil.

It gets full sun for most of day and as the weather has been quite warm here in Toowoomba I have been watering it every 3-4 days.

I am worried as several of the leaves are turning yellow then brown and dropping off.

I've been told that I should remove the fruit to allow it to concentrate it's energy into growth, but am keen to hear any suggestions.

Many thanks,

Andrew.
