King White Mulberry

Postby DrHarry » Fri Aug 04, 2006 9:46 am

I've been trying to find a nursery or plant supplier that can send seeds or seedlings of the King White Mulberry (known as Shahtoot in Australia) to TAsmania. I finally found this site while looking, so I was wondering if anyone might be able to help.

Species name is Morus Alba, in the US I believe it is known as the "Pakistani" white mulberry.

I'm interested in either the red or the white version.

If anyone could help it would be much appreciated.

Give Harmony a ring on 03 6248 6149. They're a landscaping service in Lauderdale near Hobart. I recently got some raspberries and gooseberries from them, so you never know your luck. They might not have the variety you're after, though, but they _may_ know who to contact. Good luck.

PS you could always try ebay for seeds ... and then try to get them into Tasmania.
