raspberries & blueberries

Postby Marcia Timm » Sat Mar 15, 2003 9:09 am

I would like to get a couple of blueberry bushes to grow in Eden Valley, SA. This is a chilly spot in S.A. Occasional frost and some hot summer days but generally several degrees cooler than Adelaide. Where can I purchase one. Also can you give me info on raspberries. I've never grown them.

If you e-mail me I can give you the name of a seed company that has both blueberries and raspberries as well as others. They should do well. I remember picking rasps for jam as a child on holiday. The canes need cut back and the new canes fruit that year. Have you tried any local nurseries?

Did you see the segment on GA recently? That was from SA. Wi' all the bird problems you have to be dead keen!
