The Rose Photo Competition is always a forum highlight and reflects the fact that Roses are popular inclusions in so many gardens. An added bonus for the photo competition is that they are so photogenic, who can resist the temptation to take a photo of a Rose at its best. Another feature of many Roses is that they just keep on producing stunning blooms so if you miss taking a photo of one flower, another soon takes its place. Great plants and great photos - thanks to all those who entered and congratulations to the winners:

The winners of the Roses 2013 Photo Competition are:

1st prize - $200 Garden Express eGift certificate - Rosiesgarden for the photo 'little_climbing_rose':

2nd prize - $60 Garden Express eGift certificate - Noopi for his photo 'Firestar Rose':

Don't put those cameras away just yet as there is a new competition - Dahlias. Like Roses, Dahlias just keep on producing fabulous flowers is so many colours, shapes and sizes. If you don't have any in your garden, after seeing the entires in the next competition you will want some. If you do have Dahlias then get out there and take those photos!
