Distances between fruit trees

Postby J & JC » Tue Jun 27, 2006 7:21 pm

We are starting our "little orchard" and were wondering what is a good rule of thumb of distances between fruit trees. Trees we have in mind are apricots, apples, peaches and plums....to start! We have approximately 20 x 20 meters to use, full sun and well fenced. Any suggestions would be certainly appreciated.

g'day j&jc,

we planted ours 2.5 meters apart that worked well reckon no more than 3 meters at the most for those sort of trees.
