G'day Garden Expressers,
I'm new to this, so I hope I'm getting it right. I have a question. I live in Southern Tassie and plant garlic every year. I buy purple Australian planting stock which tastes very strong. I know this, because I taste it. The garlic grows really well (it's usually a hardneck variety) and the bulbs form as well as you'd like, but the garlic doesn't taste as strong as I reckon it should. Any ideas? pH seems okay and nutrient levels should be adequate but it's rumoured that manganese could be low.
