this plant started growing in my vegetable garden.
what is it. weed or worth keeping???

I kind of like the look of it, it's growing in a spot that has some shade...

hi ace I dont know what its called but it isnt a weed ,but it can spread ,though if its not wanted somewhere its easy to pull up

it will meander all over the place and grows anywhere

I personally do consider it a weed. However it can look alright sometimes in some places, so I don't try too hard to eradicate it. As Jodie said it rips out easily and is not a major pest.

Looks like a violet( viola) of some type.

thanks, that one looks spot on.

was worried when I saw the word ivy.
but after reading about it, it seems like a nice plant to keep!!!

Beware, it does spread everywhere. However it is easy to eliminate if you so choose.

so far, it's happily growing in my raised veggie garden enriched with mushroom compost sipping on a injected fertiliser dripper in a partly shady corner!!!

when would be the best time to evict this squatter to a pot????

personally I think you'll get away with transplanting it anytime but be very careful it's a fragile little thing.
