plant/weed ID

can anyone tell me what this plant is? It has a creeping/climbing habit from which it puts down new roots and regrows. Ive never seen it flower. it grows in shady spots.

That is periwinkle (Vinca major), a troublesome weed.

Glyphosate doesn't work very well for vinca, but blackberry spray like brushoff will kill it. You can kill it by digging it up but you have to keep going back every few months to get any bits left over. After a few years you will get it all.

Yeah, I tried some glyphosate, it didn't work well. I have pulled it all out, but I can already see new sprouts. Like you said, I'll have to just keep going back to pull it out.
