What Tree Is This - Will It Die?

Postby abrogard » Wed Oct 18, 2017 12:38 pm

This little tree is in the way. It has to go. Or be moved over a metre.

What sort of tree is it? Look a bit like a peach or such to me. How tolerant to injury depends on what it is, I suppose.

If I cut the roots - which I will have to do - will it surely die or should I/could I attempt to transplant it?

Many of the stone fruits will grow readily from cutting. If this is one of them, you should be able to cut the roots and still successfully move it. If it is in the wrong place and must be either moved or removed, take the chance and move it.
